An unexpected period of fine weather has given ample opportunity to get out and about this weekend. Dashed to Birling Gap last night and arrived just in time to see the sun disappear beyond the horizon - one of those evenings where you can literally watch the sun going down. This left some wonderful colours in the evening sky and a very happy half hour or so was spend getting wet feet in the low tide shallows whilst capturing a range of images. As usual, those which looked so good on the small screen failed to live up to expectations once processed, but there were a few pleasant surprises and a couple which I was very pleased with - especially 'Birling Gap', now added to the Eastbourne and East Sussex page of the website.
Took the dog and my youngest for a walk on the sands at Pevensey Bay this evening and whilst extremely enjoyable it provided little on the way of photo opportunities, but with the forecast set fair for a few days yet, I will be keeping the batteries charged and the camera close at hand as I travel the roads of Kent and Sussex in the days ahead.
